ZTABLE entries

This might be a silly question but i have never observed!

After we generate a view maintenance for a ztable and try to enter data manually in sm30 does it create a transport number.

I have selected the table delivery class as 'A'.

Thanks in advance!

Hi KE,

Go to <b>SE11</b>, display the table. Go to Utilities - Table Maintenance Generator.

Look at Dialog Data Transport Details. If Recording Routine is '<i>Standard Recording Routine</i>', SM30 will ask a transport request, if it is '<i>no, or user, recording routine</i>', it won't ask.

Hi,

I have done the table maintenance generator for one of my ztables .

When I am going to maintain the data thru SM30 for this table , whenever I am trying to save the data it is asking for the request .

Which I didn't wanted , so I went in to the table maintenance generation in se11 for the table and changed Dialog data transport details and made it to no, or user , recording routine as u said in this post..

Again in the maintenance when I am trying to save a record its popping me up the request generation thing .

How can i avoid it .

Hi Kshamatha,

If u r custom table delivery class is 'C' then it will sk for request number else it won't ask. Already i was faced this problem. Even my custom table delivery class is 'C' it won't ask request number for entries. So create the entreis in which server u want directly. According to my requirement i created entreis directly in production server with the permission of my higher authority people.

Hope this helps you. Rewards for helpful points.

Kumar.
