Differeence between OILLDD0 and OILSHI01 IDOCs

Hello Experts,

I am working in IS-Oil and would like to better understand the difference between IDOC basic types OILLDD0 and OILSHI01.

What I know about them so far:

  • OILLDD is created within the TAS interface package and it can do various postings in the system, since this is only a "general function" and in TAS customizing you can specify which are the subsequent functions that the OILLDD should call
  • in my case OILLDD can call OIK_SD_DELIVERY_CREATE, or OIK_TD_SHIPMENT_LOAD_CREATE functions, so it can create deliveries (pickup process), or change deliveries and confirm shipments
  • OILSH1 IDOC is part of the TPI interface and it's getting processed by the IDOC_INPUT_OILSH1 FM, which is not customizable (unlike the IDOC_INPUT_OILSH2), so it eventually calls the OIK_TPI_DOCUMENTS_MAINTAIN function

I would have 2 questions:

1. what does the IDOC_INPUT_OILSH1 do?

2. I assume it creates deliveries and/or shipments, but then what makes it different from OILLDD IDOC's processor? It also creates deliveries. Or maybe this is not the standard, SAP IS-Oil solution I am facing now?

Thanks,

T.
