Hi experts

I am making applications using Design Studio 1.6 now, but I have not published it to users yet. Should the user be able to wait for release, should I make an application with Lumira 2.0?

What I am developing now is. biapp. Is it possible to convert to lumx in the future with Tool?

I think that it is a waste of the time of the member who develops once it becomes redoing.

Regards,

Hi - since Lumira 2.0 is not GA yet, you can still use 1.6 - please see https://blogs.sap.com/2016/11/14/sap-lumira-2.0-road-ahead-webcast-notes/ Figure 30

Recommend you use m mode when you develop your application

Hi

Of course, I think that I can develop with 1.6.

But my users know that Lumira 2.0 will be released.

Even if I make it in 1.6, can I easily convert the application to 2.0?

Also, can I use 2.0 features after converting?

Is it better for me to use m mode because it is easier to convert?

If I have to make the application again in 2.0, please let me know.

Yes, Figure 30 on the blog shows the conversion strategy, and going to m mode will make your application easier to convert. Also you are not required to upgrade to 2.0

Based on the figure you should not have to recreate

I understood that I can easily convert using m mode even at 1.6. If I do not use the new features of Lumira 2.0, I can make it in 1.6. However, when I ask the user, the user wants to use the fragment gallery. It is not in m mode. My users are now using the old Dashborad, which is displaying it in Flash. Should my users use Flash up to Lumira 2.0 GA?

Hi - I can't answer that, that is a cost-benefit decision that you and the customer can make.

Hi

When I read your blog, it was written as GA at the end of Q2 or Q3. Is it about September 2017?

It should be earlier than September - I expect we will learn more about dates at next month's SAPPHIRENOW conference

Also, note that In Lumira 2.0 you have the Lumira Designer (E.g.; Design Studio) and Lumira Discovery (E.g.; Lumira Desktop). As you are using Design Studio, in Lumira 2.0 you'd want to be using the Lumira Designer. See the "SAP BusinessObjects Lumira 2.0 Preview #SAPLumira" here:

https://www.sap.com/documents/2017/04/147853c4-b17c-0010-82c7-eda71af511fa.html

Queries for Design Studio or Lumira 2.0 Designer should be using the tag "SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio"
