Automatic change of material in SO from WBS

Hi,

We have a requirement in SAP PS and SAP SD integration..

We have a process in which engineering team will attach materials to WBS and the sales team will create sales order and include the same WBS and material in SO.

The pain area is when the SO is already created. the engineering team will make further changes in the material for the respective WBS and the sales team should again correct these changes in their SO.

Is there any process which is suitable for this scenario to avoid this issue.

We are suggesting a custom program when a material is changed in WBS the same change will reflect automatically in SO.

Is there any BAPI which can help us to achieve this.

SO related to projects (WBS) is only acting as a revenue collector. You can include a custom code to check and validate the material under specified WBS. But this will not always work because there might be more than one material associated with the network of WBS.

Custom program is definitely the way to go but as long as there is no one-to-one relationship, the logic can get cumbersome and fail in some cases.

How do you attach material to WBS ?

What changes are made by Engineering in materials that sales team has to correct it ?

As far I know, the Engineering usually makes changes in BOMs and those changes get transferred to Production order or Plant/Manufacturing makes changes in Production order.
