Hi,
We do not have PS module installed. Now we wish to have a validation/consistency check for the profit centers that are getting substituted in the sales order.
Please check whether this is possible.
Thanks,
Rajan.
Hi
You can use validation and substitution to check the profit centers populated in the sales orders.

Hi,
When doing a sales order through VA01 the profit center for a line item gets subtituted based on the sales office. This is maintained in the profit center substitution rule. Here at the time of raising the sale order, the system allows the user to change the value that is already substituted and as a result the posting goes to a wrong profit center.
Now my question is can we maintain a validation to check the profit center at the time of entry of the sale order or atleast at the time of billing so that the system intimates the user that the profit center is not correct.
Please note we have not installed project system module in our client.
any help on the above shall be highly appreciated.
Thanks, Rajan.
Hi
Like you have written profit center substitutions. You can also write validations to check if the profit centers are based as per your requirements. You can throw an error message if it doesnot match your combinations to check the right profit center.
By doing this it would not save the sales order with the wrong profit center.
Award points as to say thanks.
