Release Stratey & Open Period

Hell SAP Gurus

Pls clarify the following:

1. I have maintained release strategy for PR & PO

with clasification. Green light is showing for the strategy which i have maintained. In which i have selected

plant , material group, purch. org, doc type & Pur.group.

(1000, 004, 1000, nb, 000).

When am raising Requisition Or Purchase Order system says

this item /pr not covered under release strategy. Could u pls explain me where i have gone wrong?

2. When am using MIGO while posting system showig warning msg: period 010 and 2006 not open. for which i tried MMPI

for initialization , which is also giving error msg like

follow Note: 786387 initialization proceedure. Pls give me solution for this.

Enter Material group in 9 characters. Meaning 000001000.

We had same problem for cost center.

Try after making this change in release strategy classification.

Simulate your release Strategy for error/Log in the TCode: OMGSCK

1. Please verify your release procedure again using OMGS. If you find everything is OK, then check PR/PO you are creating is lying in pre-difined release procedure or not.

2. Go to t-code SU01, put your user ID, go in change mode, then select parameter tab and put the parameter MMPI_READ_NOTE and value = Current date (in the format YYYYMMDD). Then do MMPI, It should work.

Prior to doing this ensure that all users are logged out. Or atleast not doing transaction relevent for MM period.

The period 10 2006 means January 2007. For January 2006 the period is 10 2005. Check, is your going wrong on this.

Hi

for period closing problem, first check what is current period using transaction code MMRV.

Then use transaction MMPV to open next period. You have to close each period in MMPV to come to current period.
