Steps to connect to R/3 system:

1. Configure the SLD

2. Create a system under System Admin - System config - Portal Content with parameters to connect to the R/3 system

3. Create a Transaction iview / IAC ivew to connect to the R/3 system based on your requirements

<b>2. Steps to create System</b>

Steps to create a System:

1) Create a system of from template as "sap system using dedicated application server."

2) Go to show all properties

3) Give the following information

Application host- give the application server name of the r3 system(eg 10. 236. 52.79)

Sap client- give the client (800)

Sap system id- give the SID

Sap system no- the instance no (03)

Server port- give (the port dispatcher port+instance no)3203

System type- choose r3 for r3 system.

4) Go to the user management properties

Give the following details

Logon method- choose UIDPW

User mapping type-admin,user

5)Go to display and choose system aliases

Give a aliasname and add it.

Save and close the object

6) choose permission

Give full control to the user and be sure to check the "end user" checkbox.

7) Do the user mapping for the system.
