copy consolidated data posting level 20 - 30 SEM BCS

Hi experts,

We need to copy data from a version to another version, is very

important for us to import documents with posting level 20/30. Copy

task is only used for documents with posting level 01 - 10. But, in EC - CS we could to execute the copy program for this kind of documents,

and we are migrating from Ec-cs to SEM BCS so, we need to keep the same

funcionality.

Any idea in order to solve it? Badi´s? user exits? custom tasks?

Thanks in advance,

Beatriz Bernardos

    Hi Beatriz,

I don't think that there is a such possibility in BCS.

The easiest way (comparing with exits and BAdIs) is to run consolidation tasks again in the target version.

    Best regards,

    Eugene

    Thanks Eugene,

We are thinking about using an ecatt to simulate manual entry, or about creating a custom program to copy documents in Document ODS, and then run the standard tool "Analyze and repair data stream" in order total register and documents will be consistent. We need to this funcionality become automatic in any way.

    Any idea?

    Best regards,

    Beatriz B.

    Beatriz,

The custom program looks the better way to me.

However, I'm afraid you can easily destroy the consistency between totals and documents.

I ran into it several times. The analyze and repair tool couldn't help me and I had to clean documents ODS and totals cube and rerun everything.

    Best regards,

    Eugene
