Printing time

Former Member

Hi All,

I have a script which works perfectly fine. When I print it i get the printout in 2 seconds. But when my colleague prints the same form, it some times prints immediately and sometimes does not print at all..! Could this be a printer problem ?

Thank you,

Usha

It probably can be both.

May be the server is overloaded at times. also someone might be fiddling with the font settings in the printer, in case of dot matrix, which will cause some time lag.

anyway.. decision cannot be taken on these fewer inputs.

Hi,

Any one of these could be the problem.

1. Your colleague may need to connect to network printer with some password (which he may not be doing while printing)

2. The spool cache could be full (Which basis needs to reset).

3. May be there is different OS, with you check SAPLpd frontend installation aswell.

Feel free to revert back.

Really weird...perhaps the colleague of yours is not setting 'print immediatelly' flag. You can check if spool request have been created (SP01).

Thank you all for the reply.

The forms are printed for the same inout and I can see the spool too in SP01. I just cannot get the printouts for it.

Hi Usha,

Yes, its definitely Printer and Network problem. Check with ur basis guy or network admin.

It seems to be problem with the print queue or something.

Since you said that it prints sometimes...It must be stuck in the queue after some other docs.
