Hi everyone. I need to connect a R/3 with a Progress System. In addition, I know only a little about Progress, so any material related to this system will be helpful.
Thanx
Hello,
Steps to connect SAP R/3 to Progress:
1. Down-load the JDBC driver of Progress - should be available free on the Progress web-site or supplied with product itself
2. Upload this driver on SAP XI server
3. Use sender/receiver JDBC adapter and configure the scenario in XI
4. Ensure that the correct connection parameters are supplied in step (3)

Anything else then let me know.

From what I can see on the net, the Progress system is some kind of financial application?? If that is the case, then as an application it must have some king of API to get and send information.
You should enquire the company according to the product version are they any WebServices available to fulfill the R/3 business process.
other options is to use the file system.
Data base connectivity can be attractive but I don't recommend it when you have such an advanced APPL.
If you have some new info. regarding the system it could be helpful.
cheers
