Negative Quantity in BOM with SAP ByD

Dear experts,

I'm studying SAP Business ByDesign (SAP ByD) and I have one question. In SAP, I can create by-product BOM with quantity < 0, but in SAP ByD i can't put negative quantity in Product Design Version to convert to BOM.

If anyone knows this problem, please let me know. Thanks for readding.

Hi Tran,

I wanted to check with you the scenario in which you would want to have negative quantity for input products in your Bill of Materials. To have an item produced why would you require negative quantity ?

Dear Anand,

Thanks for your help. In SAP A1, when i create a BOM for item A which contains two item B and C(with negative quantity), after production we create A and C, so that I create good receipt for A and C. ( C like waste product).

Dear Tran,

In SAP ByD, we cannot give/have any negative input. This is standard functionality. May be it can be achieved by SDK but I am not sure.
