Is there any development on Advantage Database Server?
Are there any plans for the future?

I'm afraid your question won't be answered.

SAP killed ADS, for sure. They should either sell ADS to someone eager to continue its development or give it to the Open Source community.

My 2 cents.

This type of question won't be answered here. Please ask Mike Paola, PM for "small OEM databases" (SQL Anywhere, ADS) directly.

Juergen - I thought I had answered this but it looks like it didn't get posted (was in my drafts) - sorry about that!

To your questions - we continue to support the in-market versions of ADS through the delivery of PLs/SPs. Although we can't pre-announce delivery dates of any upcoming releases, I do know that a v12 SP is currently under development and we are targeting to release it sometime later this year. We will post something to the community once that’s released so I would advise you periodically check back for any news.

Regards, Mike Paola

Are we any closer? Last year it was intimated that there would be an update late 2016 early 2017. Nearly out of time for 'early' 2017..

Support for Win 10 is urgently, dare I say desperately, needed.

Hi Ian - the SP is not available yet. Once we have news, we will post on the Community - hopefully in the not too distance future!

Thanks Mike,

Keenly looking forward to it.

I have one Customer in Fiji that has purchased v 12 on my recommendation and another in Samoa who is waiting to see how it goes. Or not.

Regards,

Ian

Really? A service update?

Will this include fixes for the bugs reported in incidents?

Thanks

Hi Ben - yes, SPs include fixes for reported bugs. Priority is given to serious issues that impact multiple customers.
