Rollback business content

Dear all,

We had installed some Infobjects from BC and made some changes to them. Later, when we installed another cube in the background, all the Infobjects that we had modified earlier also have been re-installed with the BC version.

But we want to revert back to the old version (modified version of the Infobjects). How can we do it?

Hi Samuel,

You would need to make the changes manually once again...this is one thing where you have to be very careful with business content installtion so that it does not wipe over any customising that you have done to the objects...

Thanks for the reply. But there are many infobjects involved and manually correcting them is next to impossible. Is there not any other work around for this?

Please suggest some alternatives.

Hi Sam,

Did you transport your chnages to these InfoObjects to the QA or Prod BW system? If yes, then you can try to use XML Export and Import the definition into you Dev system.

Hi Thanks Bhanu. We've the old version of the infobjects in QA and PRD servers. But how to do this XML definition Import/Export? Can please shed some light on that too?
