Selective deletion

I want to carry out selective deletion in a cube. I want to delete a record . is there any pre requisites for carrying out selective deletion. Kindly let me know...

    Hi:

    As you already know, you cannot give a Key-Figure selection, it has to be a combination of Characteristics.

    I would do this.

    Go to list cube, get that old category record to display.

    Make sure you will get only one record here. Then, use this selection to delete in the Cube.

    Hi:

    No pre-requisites, just be careful.

    If you are loading data from this to another Cube, remember that.

    I usually open a second window with list cube and give the delete criterion there to see if the number of records and data is infact right. Then, delete it in cube.

    Again run the list cube to amke sure it worked properly.

    There isn't a prerequisite.

    Pay attention when you make this kind of deletion, if there is a delta from this cube to another, the records will still exist in the target.
