We have a HANA system where log backups are failing periodically, however data backup is working fine. Would like to understand the importance of log backups in terms system recovery, I presume that during recovery - data is loaded from last save point and replaying the log backup. Would be thankful if someone can explain that - what is happening in system while replaying the log backup?
