Difference in MDM XML files

Hi,

We are exporting data from our R/3 system as IDOCs and then converting them into XML files to import the data in MDM repository. However, strange thing is that we we export only single record the structure of the generated XML file is different than the generated file for multiple records. Can anyone tell me why we are experiencing this difference and where to look to fix this problem?
