change size of ROW IN TABLE

i have a table with 5 column and i wont that in the first column the row size be bigger then the second i try to explain my self better ,in the first column i have perid that repeat oneself LIKE THE SAME PERID FOR OTHER COURSES i wont to see it just one time like to uniun all this rows with the same perid into one row in that up i have one perid in the other coulmn display his course regular data .

    IN THE EXAMPLE WERE I WONT BB2 AND BB3 COME UNDER QUSHT AND WER TO.
