On the List of Items form (FormUID = 10003), I'd like to dynamically change the binding of the "Find" Edit Text to wathever column in the Matrix I'd want. This control is actually bind on the Item Code column, and as you type, it selects the right row in the Matrix. I'd like to change the behavior to "point" to another column, based on a selection from a radiobutton.

Is it possible? How can I do this?

thanks a lot for your time and help

Hi Robert Cyr,

The UI API limits your actions on forms, menus, and items. These restrictions are set to prevent conflicts between user-added forms and system forms and to make sure that you do not alter the business logic behind user interface elements.

It is written in SDK Help Center:

Restricted properties and methods: DataBrowser, SupportedModes, AutoManaged, EnableMenu and ResetMenuStatus.

You cannot control the selection mode for system Matrix object. The SelectionMode property will always return ms_NotSupported.

Restricted methods SetLineData, SelectRow, LoadFromDataSource, FlushToDataSource.

You cannot access a DBDataSource used by a system form.

You can add a DBDataSource only if the database table does not exist already in the system form's DataSources collection.

Query method is not supported.

Hope it helps!

Kind regards,
