Sys copy with SAPinst: Error R3ldctl.exe -> ret. code 2

Hello!

I am doing a homogeneous system copy of R/3 Enterprise 4.7, WAS 620. I run SAPinst to export a database dump and I am getting the following error:

See 'C:\usr\sap\S13\SYS\exe\run/R3ldctl.exe -l ./R3ldctlExport.log -p F:\S13DUMP/DATA/ ' output in 'C:\SAPinst\R3ldctl.exe.log'.

ERROR 2006-10-22 00:01:24

MOS-01012 PROBLEM: 'C:\usr\sap\S13\SYS\exe\run/R3ldctl.exe -l ./R3ldctlExport.log -p F:\S13DUMP/DATA/ ' returned with '2' which is not a defined as a success code.

FJS-00012 Error when executing script.

R3ldctl.exe.log is emtpy. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Igor,

Please ensure that your SAP kernel is 6.40 and that you're using the latest version of the copy tools (R3load, R3szchk and R3ldctl). Then try again.

I worked this problem around by using backup/restore method for my system migration. Thanks for your reply anyway!
