BPC Embedded - Insert member is not possible with posted values data access

We are implementing BPC 10.1 Embedded on S4HANA. We use the EPM Add-In for Microsoft Office SP24. We use this Service Pack because the 25 and 26 get errors when executing Planning Functions.

The reports build in EPM are based on Bex Queries. These Queries have several options to access data and navigate through Master Data:

Access Type for Result Values: Posted Values/Characteristic Relationships/Master Data.

Filter Values Selection at Query Execution: Only posted values for navigation/Only values in Infoprovider/Values in Master Data table/Characteristic Relationships.

As the member combinations by rows could be thousands when working with two or more dimensions, we need to suppress empty rows. This can be done by EPM Report Options or selecting “Access Type for Result Values: Posted Values” in Query. The first option was working at the beginning of the project, but now that the database has increased, it does not allow the report even to send one record in a one-row report. It takes 10 minutes and finally throws and error (“Data cannot be sent”). It seems that even if empty rows are suppressed by EPM options, the performance is the same. Using the second option (“Access Type for Result Values: Posted Values” in Query), the performance is really good, but “Insert Member” is no longer possible. Even when selecting “Filter Values Selection at Query Execution: Values in Master Data table”. The insertion of new combinations is very important in these input schedules because not all combinations will begin the Budgeting process with data.

Is this the normal behaviour? How should new members be inserted in multidimensional input schedules?

Thank you and regards

Sergio
