Inbound IDoc error: External Segment Name: Z2S_HEADER_STATUS000 can not be interpreted.

Hi All,

We are trying to Post IDoc from PI7.50 to SAP system, we are getting following error for Enhanced IDocs. When we are removing enhanced segment:

Z1S_HEADER_STATUS from test payload then IDoc is getting posted. We are facing this issue only for inbound enhanced IDocs.

Error Description in WE02: External Segment Name: Z2S_HEADER_STATUS000 can not be interpreted.

Re imported IDocs and deleted metadata, but no luck. ABAP programmer confirmed that segments has been released and nothing is wrong from their end. ABAPer is able to create IDoc directly in SAP system.

I see many people encountered this issue, nobody given exact solution. Not sure whether this is belongs to PI interface issue or BASIS connections from PI to SAP or IDoc issue.

Note: In real, Z2S_HEADER_STATUS000 is not existing in IDoc structure. As per IDoc definition Z1S_HEADER_STATUS type is Z2S_HEADER_STATUS000.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated..

We realized that there should not be two segment definitions with same name, even though segment versions are different. After removing segment definition entry with 000 in WE31, IDoc was posted successfully.
