Hello,

within BEx I want to use the document link functionality for metadata. For a certain customer it should be possible to enter a comment and this excel cell should show, that there is a comment entered and available - how is that possible? The web display has this functionality, couldn´t find a corresponding one in BEx.

Within SAP NetWeaver 2004s, you can flag the "display metadata, masterdata, transaction data flags" for the analysis item you put in your workbook. Within BW 3.x, you have to flag this as a workbook property. Then you will see the icon to display any documents on these values.

Inline input of comments in Excel is not available till Frontend Patch 12 for 2004s. See the GA Limitations on service marketplace.

thx for your reply. In an excel cell having a value where a comment exists I want to have a sort of sign, indicating, that there is a comment available, so really a markup an a cell level basis. Within the web display this exists.
