Delta for function module that takes data from multiple tables?

Dear BW gurus,

I have created a generic extractor based on a function module. This function module takes data from multiple tables like BSAK,BSAS etc. Can i use a date field in one of these tables for generic delta in this extractor. (For example the date field CPUDT in BSAK). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
