Dear experts,

please help to advise steps to perform task below.

i have 2 IO of characteristics which the data types are DATS. The value is in date format (eg. 10/20/2006). Lets call this Date1 and Date2.

i would like to get the difference value (Date3_Val). eg. Date3_Val=Date2-Date1.

For example,

Date1= 10/1/2006

Date2=10/2/2006

Date3_Val=1 (days)

notes: Date3_Val derives from Date2-Date1.

I would like to output this report in Bex. How should i do? Please help to advise......

Hi,

First create a Two new Formula variables using replacement path process.

Then Create new caluclated key figure ,

You will now be back at the New Formula screen Drag and drop the two new variables into the formula section of the screen and insert the subtract sign (“-“) between the two.Youl will get the difference b/n the dates.Save it and excute it.

Urs,

Raki.
