XML form "News": validity of entries

Hi all,

how can I get kind of a validity function into e.g. the News project in the XML Form Builder?

We are using EP 6.0 and it would be great to create a new topic in the news area together with a "lifetime" that has the effect that the topic vanishes after the given date! Or to take another perspective: How is it possible to show only the topics which have a validity date that is greater or equal to today?

Has anybody an idea? Any help would be great.

Hi Bernd,

You can use lifetime to do that.

You have to add this service in your repository and then enable in your folder where you have to specify initial and end dates.

This function is used to publish documents for a defined time interval. You define a ‘valid from’ and ‘valid until’ date for each document. Documents are visible to all users with read permission during this period of time. Before and after these times, the documents are visible only to users with write permission.

Prerequisites

To activate the Time-Dependent Publishing function, you require write permission for the folder in question.
