quality inspection without order confirmation

I have created a process order & released it.

Now I am able to do quality result recording in QEN51N & Usage dicision in QA11 without process order confirmation.

how come this is possible without system throwing any kind of error ?

hi kaushik,

I think u would have activated <b>03</b> inspection type, so once u have released it would have created lot and it will allow u to do results recording & UD.

If u would have activated <b>04</b> inspection type , then at the time of confirmation a lot would be created again.

Hi

please check in material master. go to MM03 and select Quality view and click on Inspection setup. You will find inspection types assigned to material.

Pls tell me from where I can get the info regading the configuartion for inspection setup for the material as I'm not so comfortable with QM module .......

Regarding the inspection type details u can get in

SPRO->Quality Mangement->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection type.

It gives the list of inspection types.
