Hi,
My questions are not "<i>how to create a Value Mapping Replication</i>", but it's more: What are the consequences to use such a method?
Indeed, by using a VMR, the Value Mapping is stored inside XI Runtime cache, instead of ID. Thus:
1. what's happen if I do a complete cache with SXI_CACHE?
Do I loose my Value Mappings ?
2. what's happen after a restart of XI due to a crash system?
Do I find again my Value Mappings ?
regards
Mickael
Huchet,
<i><b>1. what's happen if I do a complete cache with SXI_CACHE?

You will not loose your value mappings once if you do a cache refresh.

Value mappings are just like your other mappings. They will not loose if the system goes down once. Also you have to move Value mapping to QA whenever you move your objects to QA.
Hope this helps...

Huchet,
In Value Mapping the values of an XML document are mapped to the values of another XML document.
We have a very good video demo on this. Click on this url and select Value Mapping Replication in SAP XI.

Apart from this go through this urls where you will get knowledge on this:

Hi Satish,
In fact I know already these links (<i>but thanks</i>)... and at least one more: /people/sreekanth.babu2/blog/2005/02/23/value-mapping-replication
My topic is really to have feedbacks about Value Mapping Replication (VRM) and the possible causes of dump, error, cases which normally will never arrive... except in Production !
Well, by my questions, I wanted to know if VRM is enough sure to use it in production.
Thanks for your 2nd message, that insure me

Hi Mickael,
Value Mapping objects are like any other XI objects.
They do not get lost as result of cache refresh,etc..whether u populate them via directory or via Replication.

Sudharshan
