Unable to logon & start the Query Designer in the Sneak Preview

Hello Folks,

Installed the ABAP Sneak preview successfully, and the BI is activated on client 001. The only problem is unable to logon to the SAP system using the frontend tools like the Query designer..

When i try to logon using the Query Designer, the logon prompt comes up and after entering the logon details, i see in SM50 that a lot of frontend objects are being activated.. But the query designer does not come up .. and no errors either... Are there some configuration steps to be done before the frontend tools can access the sap system ?..

Thanks for all the responses..

Best Regards,

Dabre

Which release of the query designer are you using? BW 3.x or 2004s? What patch level?

      Hi Prakash,

Thanks for your reply ... using the SAPGUI patch level 18 which comes with the Sneak Preview. Its the NW 2004s release, Version 6405.5.18.1016.

Unable to see the patch level of the Query designer as unable to start this at all. I logon in the logon box, and i also see the QueryDesigner.exe running in the task manager. But after a while this process is no longer visible and the Query designer does not start up at all.

By the way, I am using a trial version of the Office 2003. I hope that should not in any way create problems..

      Best Regards,

      Dabre
