0FUNC_AREA reference characterstics

Dear All,

When i add 0FUNC_AREA in a dimension,0PFUNC_AREA is automatically coming in to that dimension. I have observed that 0PFUNC_AREA is having reference characterstic 0FUNC_AREA.

Could you explain me what is the reason? If i remove 0PFUNC_AREA does it create any problem to the infocube/dimension design?
