What happend when XI server Down?

Hi,

I am dealing with <b>IDOC to File</b>. In this case if R/3 sends the data to XI but XI will not take it due to XI server down.. Wheneven XI is UP then who will send all the idocs which was generated in the time of XI down?

These were to be manually sent again? or any automatic machanisam is there?

Hi Ansar,

A good Question,

In your Scenerio IDOC to FILE

When SAP XI is down the R3 will be keep retrying till the SAP XI server is UP. Once the Up the IDOCS will be sent to the SAP XI System. If the SAP XI server is down for a long time it is advicable to check the Queue of R3 System. To my knowledge no need to do it manually.

Can you define about the Sceneario in more detail, That is how many IDOC will be sent.

Hi,

Ideally there is no need to resend the IDoc. It goes automatically once the server comes up.
