Hi BW Gurus,
My requirement is to extract the data from CRM to BW but before that I have doubt;that is for example when a Customer has placed an order from Mobile device and now that product need to be delivered and send him/her Invoice now my doubt is whether all transactions ex: quotation, sales order, delivery etc will take place in CRM or SD or some part in CRM and some in SD or i might be wrong also in assuming this. Would you please explain about this concept breifly as I am new to CRM this concepts really confuses me and If you have any good document on this please do forward it to my mail id: akr2754@yahoo.com.
Thanks a lot and Guarantee of award points and Have a great Day.
Regards
Kishore.

Hi Kishore,
what exactly do you want to know? How to connect CRM- and BW-system oder how to deal with CRM- and BW-prozesses?
If it is the prozess:
Quotation and sales order could take place in both, CRM and R/3. If you choose CRM you have to replicate the documents via middleware into R/3. Deliveries only can take place in R/3!
To upload the data, you then have to upload the deliveries from SD. Therefore you need the connection between R/3 and BW. For Sales documents you have to define one of both, SD or CRM, as leading system and upload the data from this system.
But be aware that the extraction of R/3-data is different than from CRM.
Hope it helps
Doris

Kishore,
I'm Back to SDN. To my knowledge, Quotation, Order, Invoice, etc. will ne done in CRM Side. But delivery will happend in SD.
Will be back with exact process. Check the related transactionf ro Delivery in CRM. if you find any transaction you can do in CRM.
R u working on CRM or SAP source Systems?

Nagesh Ganisetti.
