client deletion completed with errors

Hi,

We ran a client deletion process in our quality system. The os is AS/400 and database is DB2.

DB size is around 300GB. It took around 4 days to complete. In the log it showed that "error while deleting table S260". The space in the database also is showing the same while before client deletion.

Please help me on this.

Thanks,

Sailesh K

Hi Sailesh,

I'm sorry, but I would STRONGLY recommend a basic class on what you are doing :-((((

I would say, NO DATABASE would show a different result after a deletion! Fortunately you ONLY need rgzpfm on DB2!

The error needs to be investigated seperately. I would delete the SQL Packs and try again - should be finished in 2-3h.

Hi Sailesh,

Just echo Volker's point, a training course like below may help you understand SAP on i5/OS. Based on previous experiences, similar courses are not offered frequently.

Thank you,

Victor

IBM is holding the SAP Solutions on System i class which is IBM course code AS524. It is a four day class which will be held in the Denver suburb of Centennial, Colorado starting on Sep 26th, as well as a second class in Chicago, IL which starts on November 13th.. Whether you have an SAP Basis background or you have a background in i5/OS, this course will cover the interplay between SAP on i5/OS and the best techniques for managing an SAP system on i5/OS. A gentleman from IBM's SAP Advanced Technical Support (ATS) team, Steven Boucher, will be teaching both classes. Since this is a very hands on class, the enrollment for each class is limited to just 12 students.
