Email Alert Subject Customization

Former Member

Hi,

I am working on a BPM which will fire an alert for either success or a failure condition.

I configured two alert categories, one each for success and failure. I chose dynamic text check box and added two container steps to populate the some data in the long text of the message.

But when I get the email alerts I see subject something like "Process 000000069606".

I need to customize this subject line to for example "SXI Alert from service: FTP_ABCD_EFGH TYPE: SUCCESS"

Also, I need to populate the message body with some values like

Execution start date:

Execution start time:

Execution end date:

Execution end time:

Any pointers to solve this problem is greatly apprecaited.

Thanks,

-Padmaja

Hi,

I am not sure but I think for whatever heading you need in the Subject put it in the short text of the Alert cateogries.

and the rest put it in the long text and keep the date in the local variables and then pass the values tot he alert categories.

Hi Vijaya,

Thanks for your reply.

Since alert is being fired by the BPM,I checked dynamic text checkbox cause of which the tabs which enable to enter short text and long text are not available for data entry. So, I am now hands tight to enter in the details in container step. The variables from the container are used in the control step message, which appears in the long text (body) of the email message. But subject is still eluding me to customize.
