Hi,

Is it possible to integrate two non-sap systems using XI. In all examples, i have seen one of the business systems as SAP. I am new to this area, Can anyone suggest me a blog or a forum thread that talks abt this.

It would be of great help to me.

What if SOAP adapter is used on both ends?

Thanks,

Mona

Hi Mona,

Yes it is absolutely possible to implement non-sap to non-sap scenarios using XI.

For example:

The simplest one being File --> XI --> File.

You might have other scenarios like:

Mainframe(File) --> XI --> RDBMS(JDBC)

WebService(SOAP) --> XI --> RDBMS(JDBC)

Mainframe_1(File) --> XI --> WebService(SOAP)....

While implementing non-sap sys in your integration scenario, you need to create either a third party Technical and business system in SLD or create a business service for them in Integration Directory.

Hope this helps.
