How to Customize iView Wizard ?

Former Member

Hello everyone, when create a new iView with the iView Wizard there are three radio buttons Open the object for editing, Restart the wizard… and Close the wizard. In our system it has been set Close the wizard as the default. How can I change this default button to another one?

In Property Editor the default of Property category is set Info. If I need to change from Info to Show all how to do it?

Thanks for early reply.

Kind regards.

Wang

Hi Mukesh, thanks for quick reply.

I have read the thread it is about changing the theme of iView. I could not solve my problem with this.

I guess I need to start from Content Administration > Portal Content > Content Provided by SAP...

Any idea oo how to continue ?

Kind regards.

Hi Wang

That's an interesting question! Unfortunately I think there is no easy way to do what you want - I think the internal code for the iView wizard decides what to do.

If you are making so many iViews that this is an issue, maybe you shoudl conside scripting...

Hi

You can set the property for all of your iview in the portal.

See this help

iViews can be created using an XML format and the XML upload tool. This was blogged by Daniel Wroblewski <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3812">here</a>.

As another question, why are you making so many iViews? If it is to start lots of SAP transactions, you may want to conside some alternatives.

Hi Mukesh and Michael, thanks for reply.

The iViews in my case are used for the new menu items of the navigation because we need to redesign the navigation structure.

Hi Michael, I have read the documentation. It seems the good solution for me.

When create a iView in XML how to assign values of iView's properties like A01 homefolder, A02 template and so on ?

Kind regards.

If you use the XML output tool and export an existing iView, you can see the syntax for setting properties.
