SAP BW enhance 0FISCPER3 master data

Dear,

in the scope of an budget project, we would like to enhance the master data of 0FISCPER3 - basically to add the number of days: Jan = 31; Feb = 28; Mar = 31...

We would have loved to simply update the master data, but even after changeing the property on the infoobject: Master data access to Gen, the maintenance of the values give us the error message: Maintenance of infoobject 0FISCPER3 impossible...

-> this probably means that we need to extend the class

CL_RSMD_RS_0FISCPER3.

Does anyone have some experience to share?

best not to toy with sap content, why don't you create a new Z* object in stead?
