hi all,

repeating the post from general area...

did anybody enhance PA extractor in production?

if so,

what happens to the old data in the cube?

I am trying to bring in material characteristic,

SAP says,

CO-PA DataSources cannot be enhanced using the standard SAP BW tools. If you adjust the operating concern (by adding or deleting characteristics or value fields), it is then no longer possible to simply edit the DataSource. You have to delete the DataSource and then create it again.

plz through somelight on this..does it affect me?

In general if you want to add a characteristic to the datasource you would have to delete the DS...create another DS with the same name with the new characteristic included in it...Nothing would happen to the Old data in your cube....you wouldnt see any data for the new characteristic until the next load...

you would have to reload the cube if you want to see data for the new characteristic from earlier loads...

you can try it in dev and then transport it to production..

assign points if it helps
