Logo on Login screen

Hi,

My client wants to add a company logo to R/3 logon screen and right side of first screen after logon. One of the consultants says that he has seen this done before.

Does anyone know who to do this?

as far as i know you can only place text on it through se61

and category general text

I think that Siva is right, you can just add text to the logon screen. Of course if you what to hack the logon screen, anything is possible, right?

Hi

We did as per the suggestion. But the image is not appearing.

What we did?

1. Used SMW0 - Binary data for WebRFC applications - created mime type - image/gif and Extension : *.GIF

2. saved the settings.

3. Clicked the back button.

4. The in the Binary data for WebRFC clicked Create button.

5. Provided the Object Name and Description.

6. Clicked Import.

7. Provided the file name and the location.

8. Clicked import button.

9. Now in the Create Object Directory Entry - clicked the "Local Object Button"

10. The details appear in the table with the Package Showing $TMP.

After this I have made the entries in the SSM_CUST table using the transaction code sm30.

11. Logged out and Logged in .

12. The screen portion to the right of the menutree is blank.

Any errors I have commited?

Any suggestions?

Dear Saba,

The steps you have mentioned are alright but you might be doing the same as i did by giving file name in SSM_CUST table against the entry for START_IMAGE value where as the Object name need to be given which you have created by SMW0.

Thanks a lot for your reply on this and I could not believe this could be the error.

I had done all the things correctly in proper order except that in had not mentioned the object name in CAPITAL in SM30 for START_IMAGE.

Upload the bitmap that you want into SAP using the transction SMW0

Call SMW0 and choose binary data

At the next screen leave selection blank and hit execute

Create a new entry and uplod your .gif or .jpg file.

Change the entry for Start_Image in table SSM_CUST

Call transaction SM30

Enter table SSM_CUST

CHange entry for Start_Image to match the entry created in before step

You upload your picture into transaction SMW0 and then you add START_IMAGE to ssm_cust using sm30 pointing to the picture you uploaded in SMW0
