ADS deployment on 64 bit Itanium platform

My company is current trying to add the ADS to our toolkit for several smaller projects. Our BASIS team is working hard but has told me that it will take 3-6 months of effort to deploy ADS into our enviornment. We are Itanium (64-bit) based shop so I know this is not as straight forward as it could be. However, I do not think it should take this long to implement on a ADS compatible platform. Does anyone have a similar (64 bit) standard enviornment that they have deployed ADS? What ADS platform did you deploy? What was the effort required? Thank you in advance.

the short answer to your question is that it is currently not possible to install ADS on Itanium (IA64) platforms. The main reason is listed under 'Outlook' in <a href="http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=925741">SAP Note 925741</a>. This Note also lists the possible workaround. IA64 support is in discussion with Adobe, but we haven't reached an agreement at this point.

Thank you for the forum response. I was aware of the limitation. I was hoping someone could enlighten me with the effort required to implement ADS on Netweaver04 in a heterogenous enviornment. On Linux or Wintel?
