BPS related standard queries in business content

Hi gurus

I am working on a CRM BW implementation project where in we are implementing BPS for the client. We have a requirement like below for setting targets

'The national manager will set targets for the zonal manager. The zonal manager will get his target and he can allocate this target among each region under him. The region manager will in turn get his target and he distributes it to the branches under him. Similarly each branch manager maps his target to the Relationship managers under him.'

I would like to know the standard queries and web templates which are availbale in business content for these target settings.

I am new to BPS and any suggestions in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards

Vijaykumar

Hi Vijaykuma,

BPS works with planning layouts and web interfaces and not with standard queries and web templates.

Have a look at planning profile 4CRMTR01 and its subordinate planning areas, layouts etc.

This is available in the BPS business content (<> normal business content).

4CRMTR01 contains an example on company, region, area and the corresponding top down distribution.

This should be a good start.

Please assign points if this solved your problem.

Hi Vijaykumar,

If you assign points I do anything for you

The process for installing business content is different to the normal BW process, instead of installing it directly on your client, you have to select the process in client 000 and then import in your working client.

The process is as follows:

1) log on to client 000 of your BW system

2) goto transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT (in client 000 of course) and click the planning function you want to install the busines content of

3) run transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT; this will generate a transport request

4) release this transport in client 000

5) import in the working client

Most of the planning areas are defined as remote planning areas, you will receive an error if you try to access them.

Switch to local planning areas in the BPS0 planning area.

You also have to install the BW transactional cubes, this can be done using the normal BW business content transactions.

Best Regards,

Filip
