i want upgrade R/3 4.7 to ECC6.0

currently we are using sap R/34.7, so we want to upgrade from sapR/34.7 to ECC6.0. can i directly do sap R/34.7 to ECC6.0 . what prerequsites i have to take which documents i have to read please send me assoonas possible

Yes, you can certainly upgrade from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0. Keeping in mind that ECC 6.0 is part of mySAP ERP 2005, your best place to start is the mySAP ERP 2005 Upgrade Master Guide. This document will list all the relevant notes you should read prior to starting your upgrade, as well as a host of other relevant information.

To obtain this document, go to the SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/instguides, then navigate to mySAP Business Suite Applications -> mySAP ERP -> mySAP ERP 2005 -> Upgrade.

Also keep in mind that ECC6.0 is ( mandatory) Unicode release so this might have an impact on you database depending upon which DB you have

We are on Informix and so we first upgraded to ECC5 ( without unicode DB upgrade ) and now we will now upgrade to ECC6 ( with unicode DB upgrade )

We did not had to many application problems going from 4.7 to ECC5 but we expect much more issues due to the unicode aspect,
