Compatability 2004s with R/3 Enterprise

Dear all,

I am doing a migration study for implementing NetWeaver 2004s at a customers site. They are using R/3 4.7 Enterprise. Does anyone know whether these systems are compatible? What issues can we expect? Where can I find more information?

Thanks in advance,

Ralph

    Hi:

Certainly there is compatibility, any interface between any supported version of the SAP products are supported. Your limitation might be on a business content level. Some business content is delivered based on certain versions of the source systems involved. That can only be checked on a content by content basis.

BI 7 will work with 4.7 Enterprise, but you will need to run EP7 for any web based reports...even if you are trying to publish to a company intranet.

Also, be wary of IP in BI7. As of SP8, it was still pretty buggy. If you are doing any planning within BI, you might want to run the 7 front/back end with the older BPS installed.
