System Error with Hierarchy in Integrated Planning Input Hierarchy

Former Member

Hi,

We wish to insert hierarchies into our input-read query. When the Characteristic Selections are pure single values the query works fine.

However when we use a hierarchy in the selection we get the following error in BEx and the system disconnects:

Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION

Errors while reading InfoProvider data

Error reading the data of InfoProvider IMPM_01A2

System error in Program CL_RSR_RRK0_HIERARCHY and form

APPLY_SLICER_NODE-01

Running a 'Check' in the BEx Query Designer does not bring up any issues. We are on Support Package 9, Front-End Patch 1 Revision 321.

Many thanks,

R

Hi RM,

Just heard back from SAP.

You also have to implement note 968744.

The solution to your problem thus is: implement 987135 and 968744.

Implement with SNOTE.

SNOTE will show you a number of prerequisite notes.

Before actually implementing the notes you have to check that the prerequisite notes do not have manual actions to be executed.

There is at least one prerequisite note with a manual action (extention of a class interface).

Thus:

1) run snote and write down prerequisites. Do not implement notes yet

2) check prerequisites and carry out manual actions

3) perform manual actions

4) implement the 2 notes AND the prerequisites

Your problem should be solved now.

Please assing points if this solved your problem,

Best Regards,

Filip

Hi Filip,

Thanks for the advice - its good to know that I'm not going mad. I've raised an OSS against SAP too. Hopefully they will solve the problem soon!

If / when SAP provide a solution it would be great if you could post the SAP note onto this thread. For now I have assigned points!

Cheers

Hi,

The note SAP created for me to solve the problem is 987135.

This note however does not do the job, unflagging the 'suppress not assigned nodes' flag in the properties of the hierarchy does.

Please assign points if this solved your problem,

Best Regards,

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem.

This is caused by a bug.

If you remove the 'suppress not assigned nodes' flag in the hierarchy, you can avoid the dump.

I already logged on OSS call for this and SAP already crated a new OSS note to solve this problem. The problem however still persists.

SAP is looking into this again.

Please assign points if this solved your problem,

Best Regards,

Filip
