Error message : No organizational data exists on item level

Former Member

Hi,

I am trying to create a Shopping Cart from a free form entry in SRM 4.0.

After I added an item to the shooping cart, the field 'Purchasing group' is empty under 'Basic Data'.

It seems that this field is not picked up from the organizational structure.

I have checked the organizational units, but I can't find any error.

Thank you for your help.

Best Regards,

Shaiek

Hello Shaiek,

Please maintain the purchasing group along with the Backend RFC destination under the 'Function' tab of the purchasing grp objid in the org structure (purchasing grp objectid should be under the purchasing organization).

hello Mani,

The purchasing groups are maintained correctly with reference to Backend purchasing group.

The purchasing groups are also under purchasing organizations.

I'm just starting my customizing, I need to go further but I am stuck at SC level.

I would appreciate any help to solve this issue.

Thanks,

Shaiek

Lina,

The purchasing group does not default because you have not maintained any responsibilities for the purchasing group. Make sure you enter the product category that you are using for your "free form text Shopping cart" in the responsibility tab of that purchasing group and you will see you purchasing group default this time.

Hope this solves your problem.

Pls assign points for usefull answers !!!

Hello Sundeep,

I inform you that the product categories have already been maintained correctly under 'responsability' tab of that purchasing group, but it did not solve the problem.

I need an urgent response to this issue!!!

Hi

Are you able to create the SC, barring the 'free form text' requirement? Check the OSS note 745676.

Hi Reddy,

I can create the SC only in status 'held', but I am not able to validate this SC in order to be transformed into PO.

Hi Lina,

please check if you have maintained attributes at pur org or pur grp level as mentined below:-

Under Pur group level:-

In responsibility tab/product responsibilty-maintain product category with your source system-backend or local whatever is your case

Organizational responsibility:-enter object id of your purchase organisation.

Dont enter pur group and source system under tab 'function'

See if this works for you.

Lina,

If you are configuring the standalone scenario then you problem is likely the following:

When you flag the "purch. Organization" in the "Function" tab make sure that you DO NOT enter anything in the "Corresponds To" fields which include the purchase organization number or the system logical system. (Make sure they are blank.)

You should do the same when you setup the "purchaseing group" org, make sure that you DO NOT enter anything in the "Corresponds To" fields which include the purchasing group number or the system logical system.

Then your error should go away. Please let me know if this fixes you problem. Otherwise please provide further details.

Hello everybody,

I still have this error message when try to create a shopping cart : 'No organizational data exists on item level'

Following a lengthy discussion with SAP Support, SAP recommended that I remove the reference of the Purchasing Organization and Purchasing Group to the backend system (R/3).

After removing the reference I was able to complete the SC creation process, but I got an error at the PO creation process, where I am unable to release the PO since it is not linked to a backend (R/3) Purchasing Organization/Group.

I am currently using SRM 4.0 with EBP 5.0 in a Extended Classic Scenario.

I need an Urgent help on this issue !!

Thanks,

Hi Lina,

check If you have implmented the BADI BBP_PGRP_FIND and it is active.

If yes then you need to fill the default prurchasing group in the structure es_purch_data otherwise everytime the purchasing group will become blank if you dont fill it and you will get the error what you are getting now.

Hello,

I don't know if it is related to my issue, but I mention that I have not performed these programs (under se38 transaction) in order to synchronise organizational units:

BBP_ATTR_XPRA400

BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL

So I would like to know whether I need to perform these programs or not.

SRM 4.0 EBP 5.0

Hello,

When I delete the R/3 reference for Purchasing organizations and purchasing groups in PPOMA_BBP, I have no more message error at SC level.

But after when I try to create a PO I got an error message (under transaction RZ20):

Backend system error : enter a Purch Group.

But I mention that The Purchassing Group is well populated in the PO.Then when I set the R/3 reference for Purch Org and Purch Group in PPOMA_BBP, I have no more error message and the PO is transmited to the backend.

So I need to know how to maintain R/3 reference for Purchasing Org and Purchasing Groups.

I am using Extended classic scenario.SRM 4.0 EBP 5.0

Hi Shaiek,

Are you running Classic or Extended Classic scenario? This has an impact on how you create your purchasing organisation in PPOMA.

First of all, can I suggest that you assign under Organisational Responsibility the object ID of your Company and see what happens.
