BW Query

Hello experts,

I was assigned a task to Develop a BW query,

Iam about to gather the requirements from User, What kind of detailed requirements i should collect?

Query looks like this

Create BW query that at the product level compares sales by rep to consignment inventory by rep. In order to do this a link between the rep # and the rep's customer # must be made. See new Classification field "personnel #" in VD03.

Ask if they have a comparable report (R/3, excel, other systems) at present. If yes, take screenshots/examples of that.

Ask if any authorization restrictions are needed to be applied on this query.

Other than that, you can ask for selections/default filters/ drill-down options that users would like (eg jumping to another query).

Depends. If you are asking a business user, likely they will not know it. If it is an IT user, he/she can give you that.

Else, you will have to figure it out yourself.

They dont have any comparable reports, Should I ask Charactafterics and Kf required in the Report?

Yes you need to know what they want to report on ..you need ask them in business terms rather than asking for what characteristics and keyfigures..
