EventListener can't be deployed

In a web application, I've included an EventListener using the <listener-class> attribute. The application deploys and the listener functions as expected on a non-NetWeaver server.

When I try to deploy the application from Developer Studio using NetWeaver Java EE 5, the deployment fails with the following error message.

Web Class Existence Test: The listener "mypkg.InitListener" implements java.util.EventListener, but it does not provide implementation of method "connectionClosed()", file: MyApp.war#WEB-INF/web.xml, column 0, line 0, severity: error

Any idea why I'm seeing this error and how I might fix it? What connection event is it referring to?

Thanks,

Jerry

    Hi Jerry,

Check if your listener class mypkg.InitListener implements one or more of the listener classes in the javax.servlet API (section SRV.10.3 of the Servlet specification).

    Best regards,

    Vladimir
