Hi Experts,
I have a problem:
I transported some quereis from BWD to BWT system and they are looking fine in BWT and I cant change them in BWT.
But I can not change the quereis even in BWD .
Can you please suggest something because I am trying to make a copy of the quereis in BWD and then change them as needed instead of recreating everything from scratch.
Thanks
Lakshmi
You need to create a open Bex transport request and then can change the query which are transported..
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
If you are getting error as " Locked against external changes"...?
then you have to record changes to BEx objects, by creating an open transportable change request as the transport request for BEx objects or enter a new, targeted transport request in the Administrator Workbench in the transport connection by using the 'BEx' pushbutton (Create Transport Requests for BEx).
Hope this helps..

Go to transport connection in RSA1..You should see a button with BEx truck symbol..click on that..it pop-ups a window for BEx Transport requests..Click on Assign /Delete button it will prompt for creation of new workbench request..create it..It should give you the request number as some thing like BWDK9134*..
Now choose your package (Z*) that your query is saved under..
and you should be fine..

Hi Sri;
The Queries are changeable to all systems. What kind of error are you getting?? give us more details level info..can you able to open the Queries? try to make a copy of the queries doing just save as from the query designer...and see if this works.
