Issues with DTP after transport.

Hello all,

We have transported our objects from Dev to QA. Now I have some modification to do in DEv adding objects to DSO and mapping them again in transformation rules. Everything goes fine till this poin, then i try to reactivate the DTP so that the error handling would be recompiled but the DTP gives this error. I double click and in change mode try to reactivate it and it fails and then if i try to open again that same DTP it gives me this error.

"The application could not execute the required function

Message no. RSAWBN003"

Has anyone seen this issue before.

Thanks,

Kiran

Hi Kiran,

It appears that- SPS 9- when a data target is changed in DEV and corresponding DTP's are ran, they error. I've noticed this with a number of ours.

Two tips:-

Try retransporting the dtp from DEV to QA.

Failing that try activating your whole data model from a top down perspective, i.e DSO first and working back, transformation, then try and recreate your DTP.

Hope it helps.

Ron and Sarah,

I will log in a customer message and let you guys know.

Sarah, as per one of your tips. If I try creating new DTP's in Dev and than transporting it to QA then it fails because of overlapping selection of DTP's. (QA already has previous DTP which is for delta load). So I guess we will have to delete that then.

Thanks,

Kiran

Kiran,

That's correct. Whats probably happened is that the DTP has got confused. By deleting it, then do a transport.

HI:

This needs to be reported in an SAP customer message. Fastest handling would be provided with an directions on how to reproduce the error and the connection to the system to be opened, with a user id and password provided.
