HCI Flexibility in hybrid enviornment compared to PO 7.5

Hi Experts, I request you to correct my understanding with respect to HCI and PO7.5.

I believe HCI suits best in a hybrid environment here I can connect well not only within cloud applications ( Y - Commerce , Hybris etc) but also create SSL tunnels in case I wish to connect to on premise systems - thereby giving rise to hybrid landscape .

Is that correct?

I also think that HCI has several out of box deployments which can work as standard building and integrating blocks to connect to client applications .And this is exactly why HCI is popular in Cloud . Is that correct ?

However is HCI good enough to do all custom developments to meet complex mapping transformations ( A2A and B2B) and then go for on premise integration ? How good I it, or I have to still bow down to PO 7.4/5 for the same?

Hi Arnab

You are correct on both counts. HCI is SAP's recommended integration platform in the hybrid scenario (cloud and on-premise) and PO remains the recommendation for on-premise to on-premise. HCI ships with several pre-packaged integrations for Hybris, SuccessFactors etc. For an overview, go to the SAP Developer Hub => Integration.

As for complex mappings, you can perform them in both PO and HCI. Be aware, though, that HCI still has fewer adapters than PO. More adapters are on the HCI roadmap, though.

Regards,

Morten
