Hi

A Business Partner can be identified by knowing its Role

Check table BUT100 for the business partner and you will know the role assigned to it.

    KNA1 - customer master,

    LFA1 - vendor master.

I believe you can distinguish between different customer types by customer account group which determines which fields/data is relevant/required for customers in this group. But you need to know how these gorups are defined in your system and if they are used at all to distinguish between different ytpes of customers.
